製品マニュアルを読む人はあまりいないだろう。しかし、実はマニュアルの世界は奥 が深い。マニュアルを別の言語に翻訳する場合、配布される国のお国柄に応じて書き方を工夫しなければならないのだ。たとえば、イタリアでは命令口調は避け なければならず、ドイツではくだけすぎた会話体は嫌われる。
